GRP Fire Performance Selector
Define the project requirement first, then compare it with controlled evidence for the exact product and end-use configuration. The selector does not infer compliance from a resin family or the words “fire retardant”.
Interpretation discipline
Evidence first. Selection second.
Reaction to fire
Compare the project requirement with the classification evidence for the exact product and relevant end-use conditions. Do not substitute a generic resin description for tested/classified evidence.
Smoke and droplets
Where s- or d-class performance is specified, the selector checks those separately. A headline letter class alone is not treated as proof of the complete requirement.
Fire resistance
Reaction-to-fire classification is not treated as fire-resistance evidence. Where a fire-resistance or compartmentation requirement exists, a separate evidence route must be identified.
Technical review boundary
Uncertainty is routed, not hidden.
A green result means the entered requirement and entered controlled evidence align within this selector. It is not a universal declaration of compliance. Any changed product, support, fixing, orientation, assembly or fire-strategy requirement must be reviewed against the evidence again.
