01 · Challenge

Keep permanent access around dense services.

The One Nine Elms project photographs show RiserDeck® flooring installed within building service risers on the high-rise development. GRP support members and open-mesh panels form permanent access surfaces around multiple service penetrations and restricted zones.

High-rise riser flooring is a coordination discipline. Opening geometry, support locations, service zones, access duties and the construction sequence must stay aligned as the building progresses. The installed photographs show the floor broken into practical panels around the real service layout.

02 · Specification

Support grid and floor panels coordinated together.

Support grid

GRP members below the floor create the structural layout from which the open-mesh panels are supported.

Service coordination

Panels and edge details are cut around penetrations so usable access is retained within a crowded riser.

Repeatable system

A consistent RiserDeck® approach can be repeated through a vertical build while still accommodating local opening changes.

03 · Delivery

Practical panels around the installed service layout.

The photographs record the system at different stages and viewpoints, showing both the supporting GRP frame and the completed walking surface. Panelisation supports handling within the building and enables the floor to be assembled around installed services. The result is a clearly defined permanent access zone rather than an unresolved riser void.

04 · Outcome

A defined, maintainable riser access zone.

RiserDeck® created permanent, maintainable access surfaces around dense services while retaining a repeatable installation logic for the high-rise environment.
